SKBA Capital Management, LLC is an independent investment advisory firm headquartered in San Francisco. The original team of senior professionals joined together in 1976 as the Institutional Investment Management Group at the Bank of California. SKBA (Spare, Kaplan, Bischel & Associates) was established as an independent entity in 1989. In 1999, SKBA became an affiliate of Convergent Capital Management (CCM). In 2003, CCM was acquired by City National Corporation. Effective, May 2011 SKBA employee shareholders bought back a majority controlling share of the business from CCM, with CCM maintaining a minority stake. SKBA provides asset management services with a value orientation. Our significant experience has been gained through years of management of institutional and individual assets.
